Former Secretary Of State Fights Global Warming with Nissan Leaf

by Zachary Shahan

We’ve written about George Shultz before. The distinguished economist and businessman served under presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon. He served as “the United States Secretary of Labor from 1969 to 1970, as the director of the Office of Management and Budget from 1970 to 1972, as the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury from 1972 to 1974, and as the U.S. Secretary of State from 1982 to 1989.” Clearly, at one point in time, he was a leading voice of the Republican party. Now, he is an adamant proponent of action to combat global warming, and a carbon tax in particular.

A good friend and long-time CleanTechnica reader, cleantech leader Arik Ring, during last night’s #SolarChat supplied me with more love for George Shultz by tweeting me a video about the cleantech life of Shultz.

Again, you can check out more about George Shultz and his global warming action push here.
